I have never cared much for the automatic air conditioning and I am constantly overriding it. Tiny little buttons that take a fingernail to push. I like the old knobs for fan, temp, and recirculating, radio volume too. I do not need to take my eyes of the road so much to hunt. Some bells and whistles are nice, just look at my tractor choice.
Summer the air condition is pressed. Winter time i have it set for defrost and feet. I just like that I can set it for a comfortable temperature and leave it.

My aircon is on all the time, I was told it saves the seals and I do like the radio and phone controls on the steering wheel which i don't need to reach for or look at.

The road grader I run has a push button for AC. Then it has a dial for temp and a dial for fan speed. I never, ever, under any circumstances push the button to turn off the AC. It's on from the day we get a new machine and is still on when it's loaded on the trailer taken away as a trade in. I simply adjust the temp dial to suit me year around.

I'm with you. Is it even possible to get a modern vehicle that doesn't have the automatic temperature control? Other than in the winter when the heat is on, I generally have the climate control turned off. Rarely gets hot enough around here to need AC, personally I'd just as soon have the windows open and breathe fresh air.

Nothing that I drive has it... one is a 2017, the other is 2018.

It really depends on the trim package and model for the vehicle. Usually the higher end models have the auto dual climate control.

For instance, my 2018 Chevy 2500 LT model work truck didn't have the automatic temperature control. But my 2009 GMC 1500 SLT (Chevy LTZ) comes with the auto dual climate and temperature control.

I think some of the most dependable items were made in the mid 90's through the early 2000's. GM LS engine, Ford 7.3, tractors before all the gadgetry went in and the majority of equipment could still be worked on at home to a certain degree. I have a john deere 4310 and 4400 which are essentially almost identical tractors. The "10" is way more complex because it is "e-pwr reverser". Basically what they did was change everything from mechanical linkage and such to solenoids and relays to do it electronically. For the complexity of the system the over benefit in my view is minimal. I have the same view of these cars all having push-button start now.

BOY!! That's the God's honest truth. Woke up this morning to find that there is an upgrade to the Mac OS. From Catalina to Big Sur - 12+ GB upgrade. So this is the END of my upgrades of the OS on this computer. 12+ GB is just too much for my IP - Hughes Net. Even under the best of condition it would take FOREVER.

I could change the heater inside temperature setting on my 2017 GMC Canyon by reaching over and turning a dial while still watching the road. My 2019 Ford Ranger requires me to either use the touch screen and or search for the "toggle" which is in the dash somewhere all while not watching the road. Of course this is after the computer has told me earlier to pay attention to my driving.
