You're making good progress. How hot is it there? We're dying from the humidity where I'm at right now. It's very painful to just walk outside in the afternoon. 97F with 70% humidity!!!

The builder has started the last couple days about 5:30am.
Yesterday they were gone by 1:15

Father in law is living in his camper at the farm. The “barndo” is for him when he’s not galavanting around the country.

Pics from today

10 feet is impressive. But it’s also a lot more area to hear and cool. Why didn’t you make it the standard 8 feet?
Our current “barndo” has 10’ sidewalks and we like how big it feels.
The finished side is 24x20 and will not have a ceiling in most of it. Should make the space feel “bigger”

We purchased 2 ($400 each after rebate-Menards) 230v 12k btu mini splits rated to heat down to 5 degrees. My internet HVAC sleuthing says I need 10.5k for the space. Extra mini split may go in our current building-those units are crap for heat under 30 degrees.

And lastly……happy wife…..happy life!

Trusses went up Friday!!

A few girts/purlins left to put up

We are “at the farm” for the long holiday weekend. Friday was the first time we’ve seen all the lumber in person.

Builder says my insulator can start on Friday……I’ll see if they show up tomorrow morning with metal.

What are the temps like there right now? It's horrible where I'm at in East Texas. Just about impossible to do anything outside after 3pm.
