Looking to buy a used, small/36" or so, double drum vibratory roller
Most seem to be made by Bomag, Cat, Hamm, and Wacker-Neuson
Anyone out there have any advice on what to look for when buying a used unit?
Also, pros and cons of the above manufacturers?

The wackers larger than the RD12 are rebranded Hamm units. Hamm, Bomag, and Sakai are top contenders. CAT not so much. Not much to check. The most common issues revolve around the water systems. Tanks and lines cracked if not winterized in the north. Leaks, bad electric water pumps, clogged nozzles, etc.

Will the speed setting stay constant? After a bit of wear some machines will speed up to max or slow to stop as the speed lever walks. Can drive you nuts. Rolling the bank edge is plain dangerous.
