DPF issue

Interesting. All the info on pure biodiesel suggests it would need more frequent regens. Maybe there is a synergistic affect with blends.

I have a fairly CK3510 hst, it only has 23 hours on it, about a year old. I was using it and got a "CEL" alarm and the motor shut off. This is a DPF error and upon further research it means the tractor attempted to do a passive regen but was interrupted twice. The owners manual says the DPF needs replacing. I removed the DPF and inspected it. Based on what I am seeing, I doubt it needs replacing. It is hardly soiled. I can't get the tractor to run for more than 15 seconds, so I cannot perform a manual regen, and according to the manual, it cannot be done once the CEL alarm has been activated. I am suspicious that the problem is the differential sensor, but I can't be sure. I spoke with the dealer and he told me I needed to bring the tractor in, but I don't have a trailer, a rental yard is an hour away, and the dealer wants $75 p/hr to come and get it. This would amount to about $500 just to get it to the dealer and back. If there is just a secret dealer reset that needs to be done, it seems like a waste of time and money to just do that. Is anyone aware of the procedure to reset the cel alarm? Any ideas for things to try?
Had similar issue with CEL on and tractor quits after 15 seconds the code the Kioti dealer was for the imv vaule fault. The plug was unplugged and they plugged it back in and tractor ran fine.
Didnt get charge me for that but $250.00 for pickup and return.

Since there are no scanner available for us when it comes to tractors try a hard reset.
disconnect the battery overnight and and if you can access any sensors to the exhaust, DPF unplug as well.
Next day, reconnect everything, then battery last and try to start engine for a manual regen.
Also, will the dealer be willing to send out a tech with a scanner?
I just bought a Xtool D7S for vehicle care because down here it's 75 to 90 bucks a pop to just to read a code.
It's irritating not being able to have a scanner for our machines, but well that's another thread...lol...
Let us know how it goes....

I have the CEL light occasionally, and it appears to have “locked out” the manual regen.
Has anyone had any success in resetting the CEL light (possibly caused by failure to regen three times when used by other operators..)
We’re not well served here by Kioti dealers, and it would be a trek to either get them here or for me to get the NX6010 to them… 🤬

The CEL light isn’t always on, but I get the feeling it will come on when under power (with PTO) and limit activity - until it’s reset and I can run a proper complete DPF regen cycle.
I do have an ODBC dongle - but it would be handy if someone had already created a “coding” platform or app that can (using a standard ODBC dongle) reset Kioti stuff - like BimmerCode for my BMW cars….
Any ideas, folks?

I have used two scanners to no success due to lack of data base on scanners.
This is a dealer only item.
Unfortunately it seems that the farm industry has kept us the owners from accessing diagnostic data from our machines.
Keep us updated as you slog through this one.

Update…
I was able to eventually get the tractor to start a manual regen.

These are the steps I took…
Unplugged the DPF pressure sensor with ignition off. Turned on ignition and started engine. CEL light illuminated.
Turned off ignition and reconnected the DPF sensor.

Plugged in Veepeak ODBC BLE dongle.
Switched on ignition and started engine. CEL light came on and then went off.
Using Car scanner software on my phone I reset all error messages.

The software used (see link above) had an “Other” category which I used…
No other software I have seen that uses ODBC dongles - has anything you can use for the Kioti. This software has “Other” selectable at the end of the list of vehicles.

My reset using the ODBC dongle and software had the effect of immediately switching off the engine.

I then waited 30 seconds, switched off the ignition and restarted it.
No CEL light was then showing.

Was able to start a manual regen by holding down regen switch - and the revs went up as the process started.
It clearly did a full regen because it took nearly 90 minutes of running until the engine returned to the idle at 900rpm.

It may not be pretty, but it worked.

Good job!
That must have been quite the adventure to cipher through! ha...

Wow! 90 minutes for a regen?? I've timed the regen on my Kubota...generally 10 - 15 minutes from the time the light goes on in the dash telling me the regen has started, till it goes off again. That DPF must have been packed full!

Been working this for several hours now and continuously get a connection problem. “Car Scanner has connected to ELM327, but ELM327 wasn’t able to establish connection with your car.” Seems to be some missing info on your end as per your post it seemed pretty cut and dry.
