Go to the king kutter site. Go to where the manuals are. Instead of clicking on the manual to view it, right click on it and select "save as". Do this for all the manuals you want.

Then, start up acrobat reader, hit the "file open" button and select the files you just saved.

I have had the same thing happen to me several times and have resorted to saving manuals to my hard disc to read them. It is also MUCH faster when scrolling through the manual.
