Drawbar Hook

I think there is ony one hook in existence. They all look exactly alike.

I'm thinking about getting a "T" hook. Just stick the end into the hole in the drawbar and lay it down. It stays put with a "Z" bend plus a "T" at the end. DUnno it it'll fit though.

I run a big clevis / d'ring. It works well for all the reasons you stated.

That's the one. I think it's the only one in existence. I've looked at about 15 of them, and they're identical.

I found one for $10. Well, plus $9.95 shipping! I much rather pay $16 + $4 hipping. At least they're being honest on the price and shipping. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The first one you found looks like a very high quality unit. The other ones you found are made or should I say imported by Speeco. They are made in China but then again they will do the job but I would try to buy the one you found first.
I am going to try to get one of those myself.

I would go with the closed clevis as well. Actually I have one in the truck and one in each tractors tool box. I can hook any size chain to it or tie ropes or even loop my tow strap thru it if need be. It has more use then the hook as like you said, you are not limited on what size chain you can use and I use about 5 different sizes depending on what stunt I am pulling /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Sounds like Dave in Ct, Robert in NY and I (G in Ok.) do it the same way. Instead of having the hook on the drawbar, I have the hook on the chain and loop it though the clevis D ring. Here's a pic of the chain installed.
