Ben, what cad format do you want? I do not have any 3 point hitch drawings but could easily create some. My CAD system is ZW3D I design for a living. Mostly molds but also parts for inventors and sheet metal fabrications. I also provide programs for CNC Mills, laser and wire edm If you are learning to read 2D drawings i can send some simple shapes for you to start with. As long as the drawings are for your personnel use and you are not profiting financially. No charge on my end.

I don't actually have CAD but would you be able to do some and save them as a PDF of something then email them to me. What sort of stuff could you do?

what are you wanting to do? learn to read drawings? I have modeled everything from kiosks to body piercing items. If you want to learn to read drawings i will give you a 3D pdf of a simple shape along with a 2D pdf of a drawing for that particular particular part. Lots of my work i cannot pass on because it is classified or the patents are not finished.

Due to patent, copyright, and confidentiality factors; that is why I suggested that Ben check into a blueprint reading class at the local community college.

I know how to reas the drawings. I just want to get practice at making stuff so I am ready to do GSCE. I say tractor 3pt hitch things because then the things I make I can use on our tractor and so it would not be wasted

I have looked into it & they aren't running one due to lack of interest

I do not have any tractor implements, do you have anything particular in mind?

GSCE?

That's too bad concerning the lack of interest in blueprint reading courses as our local community colleges have been offering them for 30 or 40 years that I'm aware of. Have you thought about designing your own implements. You can start off with crude sketches on paper if need be.

I have drawings for one tractor implement I designed and built; but I have too much work invested in the CAD modeling and drawings to give them away.

wood shop class, metal shop class, welding shop class, would be something you might look into for local highschool to local collages. i would imagine one of them classes denotes basic blue print reading. i would imagine one of the engineering type of courses, most likely entry level courses would cover blue print reading.

beyond that, it is just getting the idea out, either by chicken scratch drawings that look like a 2 year old drew things up. or getting a pad of grid paper and a pencil, or 3D model. it does not have to be all slick and looking nice. if ya understand it, and it is just for you. it does not have to be some slick 3D model.

a google search for "3pt hitch wiki" should bring back a couple sites that detail "specificatons" of distances for lower arms and top link distances.

I cant post a direct link. You have to download the program (its free) and then search for model. At the model search page put in the phrase I posted and you will have three pages of images. Click on the image you want and it will download into your open sketch up page. You can also choose imperial, or metric.

Yes I am a student in the UK and I am doing dt for gcse which involves metal work wood work and plastics. I also learn how to read drawings and I enjoy building stuff at home for our tractor. Thank you to lockhaven for the drawings

Ben, I checked out your videos on U tube, the small round bales you make what size are they diameter?, length? weight? What do you use to pick them up with now? What class is the 3 point hitch on your tractor?
