...or two facing rear, both on the canopy and angled outward to cover a wide range. That would be an easier solution that an upper and lower light, and offer more protection to the light than a lower one.

I was out testing what the lights look like from where. For the front, I think I've decided on two under the canopy in each corner, facing forward with a bit of down angle. For the lowers, will mount in same holes as original ones but the led pods are lower profile (equals more useless) so instead I slid them to the side of their brackets and angled them out to the side about 45°. This allows for top lights to be both pointed forward while still lighting up the whole field of view.

For the rears, I ran into a little snag. I never realized in the back-top of the cage there is a piece of square tubing. I could get a longer bolt and go through it but like Ford was suggesting, maybe that's not an ideal place.

I might do the duals up top angled out at 30°. The lights are 60° so that should get me 120° in back. That will cover 45° of articulation with 15° to spare.

Trust me, put two up top looking back and the boogeyman will stay in the treeline. Using floods you will have a very wide dispersal. Actually the reflection off the top of the hood kind of night blinds you. Does the 425 have a light in the engine cover looking back? I would keep it if it does.

As Carl said, I see no need for 4 lights up front.

Exactly what I did, except on the right hand side. Fishing the wire through was a pain.

Can confirm. Fishing this sucked, but I just need to make the connections and I'm all set.

So I'm going to go ahead and say it... HOLY BALLS!!! I did what I said earlier with 6 lights. My garage looked like the inside of a refrigerator.

I took it for a spin in the dark. While in the garage it seems ridiculous, outside it is approaching perfect. I have full view in the rear even at full turn. The lower ones in the front pointed at about a 45 also make a big difference. Thanks for all the feedback, I couldn't be more pleased with the difference.

Phone camera doesn't quite do it justice.

Guess I will go against most comments regarding drilling into the rops. It should be no big deal as we have various other rops on different machines that come with rubber grommets inserting into holes in order to route wires. These rops are also made lighter than the PT. a quarter inch or three eights hole or even bigger should not affect the performance and safety issue.
