I beat it out about 2 months ago. It had been sitting for 4 years. With some other posts on here about frozen shafts, I was thinking it mite be a way for some of us that don't use them often. When you unhook slide the shaft apart and store it in the tph hook up. Next time you use it it already free and you can grease it as you put back together.
I bought a used finish mower last year and never used it. I got the shaft apart, now all I have to do is grease it and slide it in. I just finished putting new tires on it and getting ready to try it out. One other thing I was thinking about. I bought it for a smaller tractor. It's a 5' and the new tractor is 67" with a cat 2 hitch. Can I offset it to the right side of the tractor by reworking the hitch. And maybe set it back 6". When I pick it up if I'm not careful it hits the tires. I will post a pic from my app. It's easier.
