Grading Driveway upgrade work during brutal NY winter

Motor 7-- I used the fabric on a grade of about 30* three years ago, and it has worked fine. The place I got my gravel from suggested I use the product they sell to the local township to build dirt roads, about 65% gravel and the rest dirt. It glues the stone in place. I've dressed the drive each spring with a york rake and haven't dug into the fabric yet.

Gravel,
Thanks for the info, the Dirtglue looks interesting, i'll send them an em!
Toad,
It's good to know that it has been used successfully on a grade.
WillieK,
Yep, i was researching the water bars made out of old rubber conveyor belts. It is a really good idea, but like you said it would be a pain to run the box blade up and down the drive way with those things in the way.....kinda of a double edged sword...:(

Uhhh, Yeah Murph, that was a joke. So was the 5 mph wind chill.

The tractor works fine at 0*, although there is some whinning noise coming from the operator.[/QUOTE

GREAT NEWS!! I thought the whinning was just from my JD!! I'm glad to hear all tractors at 0 have that whiny noise coming from the operators seat! hahaha
Drive looks great! I'm sure I'll be attempting a project like yours this spring. Thanks for the pictures!!
