Dryer fire hazzard

It is also a good idea (and often code required) to use fire resistant caulk where the pipe goes through the wall. Be prepared though, the last tube I bought was in 96' costs 17 bucks.

My dryer pipe run is fairly long. I added a Fantech dryer fan to it to properly exhaust the lint. The fan has a barometric sensor on it so it automatically starts with the dryer and runs for ten minutes after the dryer has stopped.

Is that the red fire caulk? Ive used this red fire caulk in buildings on pipe systems. Its great stuff, but its really messy. Once it dries on your clothes it dont come out .

Your first pick should be the kitchen. Most fires (minus smoking and electrical) originate in the kitchen.

Yes, but usually when my wife starts a fire in the kitchen, she is right there to put it out and serve it up.
