dual range what is it

I have low, hi, and dual range on my Shibaura SP1540. I have used it and see no differts than being in low. So when should I use it if at all. This must sound like a dum question to some but please for give me my manual has not come in yet. Thanks Sam

Those ranges are likely for your PTO speed - you need to use low range to achieve the standard 540 RPM. dont run implements in the higher speeds unless you want schrapnel flying at you....
