Dual Tilt Cylinder Valves not Synced

I think Willl was just teasing and saying "for sure we'd really like pics" :D

I think I have the picture in my mind but would like to see the setup even so. Sounds like priority flow between the valves, but that is just a guess.

No problems. I appreciate your interest. I will post pics tomorrow.

Gpick .. has this problem just started or have you been experiencing this since new?? on any stack valve normally the closest valve to the pressure port when pulled full open will take all available oil flow until the cylinder strokes out. This will then allow the oil flow to will be available for the next valve and so on ... pulling a valve half open will only divert a small portion of the available oil flow to that cylinder, there for allowing another valve to be used at the same time.... Would he be able to use a one way needle valve in the first cylinder to slow it down? So that he could just push both valves wide open?

Attached are the pics. I don't know if this just began or not because I had the mower on since I bought the tractor and didn't pay much attention.

In pic #4 from front of tractor to rear the valves are as follows:

1. Top Link
2. Right tilt
3. Left tilt
4. Ripper activator

When 2 & 3 are both pushed down #3 fully extends before #2 extends. The supply and return hoses are all under #1 so #3 is farthest from supply not closest. When #2 & #3 valves are both pulled together both cylinders retract equally.

It does not matter where each valve in the stack is located when you
pull 2 levers simultaneously. It is all about pressure, and the oil will go
to the cylinder first that has the smallest load on it (back-pressure). In
the first case when you are lifting, the loads on the 2 cyls are closely
matched, and the flow rate of your pump allows both to move at about
the same rate. When going down, however, your load is less balanced,
AND the weight of your heavy implement is pulling the cyls, too.

Try this: put an additional load on the implement on the side that goes
down last. You can use your foot, or put the tractor on a side-slope. I
will bet it changes which cyl moves first.

I don't think you have faulty valves. I think dfkrug & glastron23 are on the right track and that it is one of the short-commings of the design of the valves in an Open Center hydraulic system.

Loading the box with weight (my wife:eek: ) made no difference. (Of course, she weighs very little.)

I tried pressing #1 and #2 at the same time an only #2 extended so the pattern fits.

One thing very unusual though -- when pressing #2 & #3 at the same time not only does only #3 extend, but when it reaches its stop #2 still won't extend until I release valve #3. These valves work totally different from the FEL as you can curl or extend the bucket while raising or lowering the loader. So it looks like I will have to revise my grading technique.
