Except for sports, and some items on Fox news, those are the channels I watch as well

I dont watch sports. I use to like to play foot ball or baseball when we got the chance and played soccer through highschool. I use to watch baseball on tv all the time as a kid, and i still will watch college football, but they really dont interest me, AT ALL. Its a bunch of men running around a field, i really dont know why it entertains so many???

Not putting you down or anything, this is just my opinion and how i see it. I would rather be wrenching on something, messing with my firewood, on the boat, on the 4 wheeler, hunting, fishing, reloading or at the range.

IMO, it's one of the realest shows that has ever been on TV...

Granted it is TV and they have to make shows that are entertaining for 30-60 minutes (TV time)...but the wholesomeness still comes through...It's the (natural) character of the family that makes it...
.

WHAT really?? You think the 4 of them sit there and BS and make duckcalls like that? And do some of that stuff? i know they probably would do a lot of that but not all of that!!

Swamp loggers is about as real as it gets, as is Deadliest catch or wickid tuna. Ax MEN is SOOOOOOOOO FAKE. As a forester i can see it. Swamp loggers anouncer got facts and weights wrong but that is really how it is in the woods.

I would guess Phil really takes duck hunting seriously.he gave up a almost certain pro football career because he preferred to duck hunt
He went to school with Terry Bradshaw. Both were quaterbacks. Terry has said that Phil was a better player, but the coaches couldn't keep him out of the duck swamps long enough to practice. I have heard Phil say "Terry went for the bucks and I went for the ducks." Phil got the last laugh because he got the ducks and now has the bucks too. :)

I enjoy the show and enjoyed watching the new ones Wednesday night. I'm a duck hunter too, but have found that warm days and bluebird skies are not very appealing to me and I'd rather sleep in and do something else then sit in the swamp and feed the bugs with my blood. They had some birds, so that was pretty cool, but I'm guessing that they hunt enough to not worry too much about missing a slow day on the swamp.

Jase is pretty funny on FB. He has been posting stuff about the new season and their trip to Hawaii. Im really looking forward to seeing the beards on the beach!!! Pictures of Si sleeping in the airport are pretty classic too.

Also...,

Did anyone notice that Phil was cleaning and prepping an A5 and not the sponsored benelli??

I own both but I would sell my benelli

Humpbacks rule!!

Own both also and couldn't agree more. The A5 goes with me almost everytime even though it is a little more tempermental than the super black eagle. It's just a ton of fun to shoot.

Opening day is no joke in maryland either. I love the show but it's a business like all others. I just wonder how them boys would fare with us when we are clipping along in Fishing bay at 40 knots and its 25 degrees. Looking for some black heads and Cans. They had on their stocking caps in green leaf Louisiana.

First let me say I LOVE THE SHOW! And the family.
Now I want to say last time I was on Fishing Bay, a friend and I were in my Z25 Donzi, we had been to the Harbor Club in MT Vernon then rode around to a little bar in Chance near Deal Island. We left there and my buddy wanted to drive so I went down in the cabin to put on some ZZ Topp and get a cool adult beverage, one of apparently too many. When I came out were passing on the correct side a bouy that look familiar so I had no clue he turned wrong out of Chance and made a heading straight up Fishing Bay. This was just before dark on a hazy hot evening. When I realized we were lost I stopped by a waterman and ask about the mouth of the Wicomico river. He just looked at us and said Wicomico river? I looked at Phil and said "Dam#, he's never heard of it!" We busted up laughing and I made a course with the glow of sunset where I knew I was working east south east and finally found Molly's Point! Summer, 1988.
Sorry for the off topic but I just remembered that.

Sounds like a good day. Especially since you are here to tell about it. Love that area. Been way out in the tangier and got caught up in a wicked storm. Ran it on into chance and grounded it, drank whiskey til it quit. Last time my dad got on the boat with me and my buddy.

Went pheasant hunting today with my sweet 16 Belgium. Nothing better. I have switched my modern guns too. Won a SX3 at a DU banquet last year. Top notch!!!

Not sure what Phil and Jase were loading into them Brownings for that dove shoot. The A5's aren't real fond of low brass. High brass 7-1/2??

My thoughts exactly but less entertaining than the stooges.

I miss all those little waterside bars/restaurants.
