Hardee and maybe Bushog have made them with offset with gear box rotated one bolt hole I think is correct. They were design so you could hook up to the straight or more of offset than you are looking for, they would be past the rear wheel in normal mounted position. I have done what our asking about with rough cut and rear finishing mower many times. Just be sure tire is clear of mower and lift arm and if you have any doubt engage the pto at idle as I think you should always and have someone with GOOD hearing behind the tractor to listen for a ticking sound of the pto being at too sharp an angle. If too sharp you will hear a ticking noise as the two yoke in the U joint will be hitting each other. Of course you can run it and look for marks showing they are hitting. I doubt you will have any issue. But one side note, you pushing mower from the pto shaft on the tractor, be sure you pto shaft is not so short it comes apart at that change. Not likely to but safer to check it.
