Dumbest Thing you have done with your tractor

I know the feeling about checking for parts. I caught my foot somewhere on the platform and fell off the tractor. Landed on my elbow on blacktop and rolled into a rim and hit with my ear. Laid there for a while to see if I was still alive. My new machine has a handle.

Was thinking about dumbest things. Hmmm chronological? ALphabetical? Size of reaction? Yeah, that's it!

Ok, when you fertilize your wife's flower garden and you use your 30 gal sprayer, make sure the roundup is out of the hose, too. Rinsing the tank is only 1/2 of the job.

Keep in mind I'm laughing with you. Even if you can't laugh out loud yet.

Tig,

I know, I know! I'm just glad they left one finger out of the body cast so I can type! Wife's gonna have a "piñata party" when the cast is due to come off. Wonder that that is? Maybe I should have studies Spanish? and why does she want to know where the aluminum bat is? Hmmmm ...

My landlord 21 years ago let me use his Farmall H because I grew up on a farm and he assumed I knew what I was doing. He had second thoughts when he watched me put gasoline in the radiator one day.

I knew where gasoline was supposed to go ... but it was useless to explain that to him at that point.

He still ribs me about it more than two decades later. My kids even know the story. And not because I told them.

This past fall I washed and waxed my 755 and put it away for the winter. The next weekend I decide to do the same to my Lawn tractor. I had to move the 755 out of the way to get the lawn tractor out, I start to smell diesel fuel real strong, raise hood, fuel is spewing all over the place including the side of the tractor. So I repaired the line and rewashed the tractor. I then wash and wax the lawn tractor put away the power washer and decide to put the 755 back in the shed. I decide to fill it back up with fuel since I leaked a lot of it out with the bad fuel line and thats when the diesel can slipped out of my hand and I pour diesel all over my clean tractor. So for the 3rd time in 1 week I am washing the tractor all over again. I have more but I will save them for another time.

Dumb daze---
BIL, not too light handed, was building a ford in the creek with the D2. Brakes went out. Adjustment wouldn't get them back. We both figured he'd fried them. Tore it down: tracks and running gear off, broke down the side cases and levered/muscled them apart. No small task especially in the dirt with a pick-up bed "workshop" (read days of back breaking work).... only to find we had been turning the adjusters the wrong way!

I think you get my vote. I can just see myself doing something like this.
