I had a friend tell me a story of him and his friend roofing a house. His friend, a professional roofer, was running backwards unrolling the tarpaper while my friend chased him with the staple gun, stapling the paper to the roof deck. My friend looked up just in time to see his friend run backwards right of the roof, land on both feet and looking back at him wondering what in the heck just happened !?!

The one that sticks in my mind the most was last summer I bought a used Round Baler. It didn't have a PTO shaft so I borrowed one off my Brush Hog. Unfortunately it was too long, so I cut 6" off of it. I figured heck, I'll just get a new one for the BH.
Then one day, as I was adjusting the draw bar out to the next length setting my wifey says to me "Gee, I wonder if the shaft woulda fit if you had moved that thingey then?" /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Well Duh!

About 25 years ago my Dad and I owned a Plymouth Volarie (sp?) stationwagon. The spare was stored under a false floor in the back. Being a hatchback, it would leak water into the subfloor and fill up around the spare.

We decided to drill a couple of drain holes so that the water would not collect and rust out the subfloor. A couple of 1/4" holes and the water drained quickly underneath the car.

One small problem, when I looked under the car, it was dry!! My Dad and I managed to drill right into the gas tank!! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

We still laugh about that 25+ yrs later! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I know a guy that showed up for work one day a little early and the gate was locked no big deal. He waited 30 mins before they said on the radio it was Saturday

Got home last night and the kids told me to go check something out back. Seems some guy was moving snow recently and caught the top of my retaining wall with the bucket. Pushed down a small section. I guess I'll have to clean up after the guy today. Maybe I'll post some pictures when it gets lighter out. Sad thing is, this guy used my tractor to do the damage /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The guy I had run the gas line to the garage to be hooked up at a later date had a little bit of a whoops this weekend while he was digging the trench for it. Seems the rear blade got a little too close to the propane tank. Moved the tank 4 or 5 inches, but a least it stayed on the blocks and didn't explode /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif. I won't do anything about it though as the line was being put in so that when we swap the tank out here in the next couple of weeks I can "T" into for the garage and not have to shut the gas off for a second time. Could you tell it was the first time the guy had used his new-used blade on the tractor? Wouldn't think a little NH could move that big (500 gal) tank would ya? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I would sure think it would move 500# tank and more. I know my little Kioti will and the NH is certainly strong too. John

I guess I was surprised at how easy it moved it. Considering I just barely bumped it, was barely moving, and the F450 hoist truck they just to set it was tossled around pretty - yet I know it was a swing pendulum on that hoist and sticking out there so if formed a lever. Still wouldn't thought it would've moved that easy.
