Had a pile of rock in my building, and decided to spread it out a bit today. Earlier I was using the FEL for a workbench and left a really old good pair of tin snips in the bucket. Dummy, Dummy, Dummy buried them somewhere under a bunch of rock. Now I'm looking to borrow a metal detector. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif I know that's the first time anybody's done something so stupid.

Yup, your're right. Around my place we have a lot of vandals who damage things, but I've never hit a fence with a FEL bucket, and I've never hit a post with a backhoe, and I'm not the reason for that gouge in upper frame of the garage door . . . and I'm sticking to my story.

Hey Bob...... maybe it's one of your neighbors that keeps knocking the motion detector off the flood lights on the garage. I sure am getting tired of replacing it. (garage 0, ROPS 3) /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I like Bob's thought process.

I'll add my voice to his and deny that I ever backed up and put my backhoe bucket through a window in the house...most recently vandals stole my nice fiberglass handled shovel. It was there before I started back filling 250 feet of sewer line trench. Then it was gone. I never saw them take it, but I know that is what it had to be. No way I could have somehow left it in the trench and back filled over it. No way.../forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I was going to cut and split some wood one day. I hitched my splitter onto the back of my tractor and threw my chainsaw in the bucket...As I was heading out to my endless pile of logs, I noticed a bumpy part of the yard and decided to finally smooth it out. I opened the bucket (4-in1) and put the blade down to start smoothing. When it looked like I was done, I raised the bucket, then all of a sudden ran over what I thought was a rock...THAT WAS STRANGE, I DON'T REMEMBER THERE BEING A ROCK THERE. Of course I look behind and there was my chainsaw pressed into the earth by 3000 pounds of tractor and dumb person.

HA HA!!, I am dumber than you!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

While you have the metal detector borrowed drop by my place and see if you can find that 20' chain that was wrapped around the arms of my box blade last time I saw it /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Just don't put it in your FEL bucket on the way out there/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think what took the prize for me was an employee who loaded our Case 580 BH bucket with tools and delivered them accross a newly poured concrete driveway. opps! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Don't feel bad ,
One of the test for getting a job at Caltrans as a "equipment operator" involves loading a dump truck with a loader . You would be amazed how many times the operator never check the bed or loader bucket before loading .
It was always great to watch the face of some wise guy ,who knew it all , turn red as a tarp and shovel came out of the dump bed .

Last year it was my camera..........never found all of it just a few pieces. Last week is was Pops' cell phone.

Tilled in 1000lbs of lime into 136 yards of clay, and one Nokia cell phone. Walked to the shop and called my brand new slab site.........the dirt faintly rang and we found it before the battery went dead. A little scarred up but it still works.
