Dump Trailer / Backhoe Conunbrum

Just to beat the pushing idea a little more, when you are pushing, aren't you pushing against the lock mechanism as opposed to pulling against the solid part of the hitch. I guess I would ask the dealer about it. My trailer has the single cylinder and I have occasionally have to use a jack to get it started if I put to much material up front. Maybe two cylinders would eliminate that. I have heard of a trailer frame twisting, but it was cause someone put a big rock in one front corner without trying to balance the load.

I support the used 1 ton dump theory. This past year I had to clear and fill a house site. I needed my BH to stay on so I found a 1 ton dump for sale locally in good shape with inspection sticker and road worthy I really did not have the money for another vehicle but I was able to buy this truck for $3000 ( credit card check at 0% for nine months then swapped to another for six months). I'm done with my project, I've kept the truck clean, I'm sure I can get my money back + my one years insurance and registration this spring. I looked at it more like a rental than a purchase. Keep an Eye out there are deals out there.

I posted this in gen. disc. as well but thought I would put it over here, if nothing else to get me message count up....I guess that gives me a spamming mentality which is frightening, but it will move me out of the new member category so I will do it this once.

I agree with some of the other guys. I'd go to trucktraderonline.com and look for an old working dump truck. I'm doing that right now in my area and there are a couple of them.
