Does that system power your woodsplitter also??

It could. It's just a power pack. At 2gpm might be a little slow for a wood splitter but for this it's not bad. Considering putting this one on my deckover and add some hyd trailer jacks and order one with a bigger pump for the dump trailer

If you get a two stage pump (11/2 GPM) and an adjustable orifice, you will have the 2 GPM ,
then open the orifice, and have 11 GPM for the splitter.

I accidentally did that on a splitter build, the industrial cylinder had adjustable orifices built in.

Try a golf cart dealer, the one near us sold me a pair of 12v Golf Cart batteries for $40/each (their core charge) to use in a small walk behind forklift. He tested them and found two that held against a good load on his tester.

This ^^^ for you guys that don't have a charge lead. But you still need to charge the batteries. I am still running on the junk interstate deep cycle the trailer came with 4 years ago used, BUT If anyone uses it they have to have a charge lead that WORKS or they don't use it. In the winter I hook it to a battery tender to it for a week or so and it keeps going. I have to haul 6-8 loads this weekend and I will leave the truck running during that time to keep the battery up. Most shut the truck off and forget that it is supplying the battery to charge. Mine stays running while dumping also, makes the cycle time faster. CJ

Another vote for solar chargers. I used to have to replace my lawn tractor battery every two years. Haven't had to buy one since keeping it on a solar charger. The battery on my gate opener has been through 3 sets of openers. I used to have to pull it and charge it every so often with a 10w panel. Switched to a 30w panel and have not had to charge since. Still using the original battery. BTW I took the old 10w panel and moved it to the lawn tractor. I also have a 10w panel glued to the hood of my backhoe. Solar charging is the shiznits!

I use a set of 24' long booster cables for my trailer winch. It's a bit of a pain but I always have power when I need it.

I installed deep cycle battery in my dump trailer 3-4 yrs ago ? It's still good. I don't use any type of charger on it when not using it
Had to replace the battery in my tractor last week. It was a 4 yr battery and went out within the 4 yr period
