Dump trailer hydraulics

Those at graingers are about $100 higher than the Northern Concentric. Would you pay the difference or do you consider them about the same quality?

Our company has a commercial account at Graingers so I pay a lower price than what you see. Concentric is affiliated with Haldex. Concentric AB is the former Hydraulics Division of Haldex AB and from June 16 2011 a separate listed company. Concentric is one of the world痴 leading pump manufacturers. The Northern unit will work fine for you.

Wonder how much storage is needed for a ram like this. An estimate, just curious

Going from your existing pump which has a 2-3 qt tank to the Concentric with a 2 1/2 gallon tank you will have plenty of reserve.

Your cylinder is about 288 cu inches which is 1.25 gallons. So these will work with a little extra fluid and the needed air space.

I want to have everything I need to install this during the weekend. This was in the reviews about the product. Does anyone know what this might be?

That is strange. Here are the specs with inlet and outlet. They are the same. The review, was he confused or is this not typical?

What the fitting are is a straight thread Hyd fitting with the O ring on them. If I remember right they are a number 8 fitting. If you take that allen head plug out on the one you have it should have the same threads

I think the reviewer was confused or maybe he thinks 9/16 18 SAE is a special thread. You may need a reducing bushing because your hose fittings are probably 1/2" or 3/8" on your cylinder. TSC or any hydraulics supplier should have them. Most dump and tilt trailer builders have since relocated their hyd. pumps from under the bed to inside a tongue box for longevity and easier maintenance. You may want to consider this for safety.
