Over the summer I purchased a rather tired dump trailer. The hydraulic pump sits on the hitch (yoke?) and is powered off a vehicle battery. My plan is to use the hydraulics on my tractor to operate the dump hydraulic. Looking for suggestion on exactly what I have to do to modify my eMax25 to make this happen.
I'm in no rush as its my plan to rebuild the dump bed (steel) and make new pressure treated sides over the winter. I'll post some pics soon.
Thanks in advance!!

My dump trailer works fine but I've thought about adding a selector switch to allow me to run it off a remote, it'd definitely dump better/faster and not kill the battery.

All you need is one remote on the Mahindra. It's a single or two double-acting cylinders, you will simply plumb the remote where the pump was. Easy as pie!

I like easy....;) Thanks!

Sure. I would consider if the pump/motor/etc. still works, you might want to put in a selector valve (1/2" NPT 20 GPM PRINCE SELECTOR VALVE) so that you could switch between the tractor remote connections and the pump, to still use it for dumping.

I still use my dump trailer for non-tractor jobs on my truck all the time, so I will be going that route.

Is the hydraulic cylinder on the dump trailer single acting or double acting?

Is there a hose going to each end of the cylinder, or only one hose to the cylinder? Do you have power-down, or gravity-down?

I did the same thing this way:
Put a pair of hyd quick couplers on the elec. motor/dump cyl. hoses.
Then made up hoses to reach the tractor/cyl. hoses.
This way it was very easy to go back & forth to tractor or truck use. The longer tractor hoses would completely remove for road use.
