Dump Trailers, any experience long term

Boxed frames on trailers scare me due to rust. I would only want one built from I beams or channel. I have just seen too many rotten trailers in my 20 years messing with trailers.

my buddy has a 9-year old bri-mar 6x12 tandem dump trailer. fairly well taken care of, not too abused, etc. i borrowed it for a month a few weeks ago, and it had a hard time dumping 3.5 tons of stone. i would have to scoop out a couple bucket loads with the tractor first. me and the owner both commented on how badly is was rusted--completely through in spots, and at every single weld it is badly rusted. it also does not have any grease fittings anywhere. he said he wont be buying another

my 2002 BriMar has grease fittings? However the floor was replaced by the previous owner just before I purchased. I suspect that because they were a remodeling contractor the trailer sat outside at jobsites with demolition materials etc. until it was full and then they dumped. No issues dumping full loads of 3.5 tons with a "good" and correct battery for the trailer.
