Howdy, I read here a lot but rarely post. Lots of combined experience here.
I have a DX 40 purchased new in March of 09, I've put a little over 400 hours on the little machine in that time frame and have been rather pleased. There are times I wished it had some more A-- in the shorts but has pretty much done all I have asked of it... With some certainly outside its design parameters.
Here is the scenario in question, early on at startup you would hear what sounded as if the hydro pump was pressurizing... zzzzZZWIP (hard to explain sound with text)... Now I notice it more and more during operation. Especially after I have loaded up the tractor, a hard cut with the box blade, a tough pull in soft ground, pushing a pile of dirt with the loader etc...
Is this actually the pump pressurizing or is it something else? Have any of y'all noticed anything like this with your hydro machines and is it a problem?
Thank you in advance for your advice.
