Early BX1850/2350/24 Fixes by Kubota

Goldsteins is a bit of a haul for me. I go to Norfolk Power. Been going to them for years, (since they actually were in Norfolk), for all of my power equipment. Not always the cheapest, but I find their service exceptional.

If you bought an early version of the recent redesigns, here are the kits to make them equal to current production:

Grip Kit (Kubota part number:K2581-9557-0) Contains all the plastic handles and lever sleeves for the levers and knobs. Seems that they go on much tighter than the old ones.

Cluster kit: This is the dash cluster for all the gauges. The first design could accumulate moisture inside, or the hour meter may not work properly
BX1850 Part number K2501-6250-2
BX2350/24 Part number K2581-6250-2

For the original fenders that had a tendency to break...
Fender Kit: Part number K2581-95522

Step stay kit: These are the new brackets that support the floorboard. This is extremely heavy-duty. This has to eliminate any floorboard flex at all. Very impressive fix.
BX2350/1850 part number K2581-9554-0
BX24 Part number K2592-9554-0

All of the above has been incorporated into current production tractors. This should put to bed the notion that Kubota hasn't reacted to the early issues, and reaffirms my decision to buy Kubota, even in the first year of a redesign.

If you have an early BX2350/1850/24, and you have any of the issues above, your dealer can/should fix them with the kits I listed.

Anyone have the part number for the battery cover?

Got the "Crack!!" so sending in for service. I want to make sure I get all of the new parts.

Also what was the story with the "new seat"?

Honestly, after looking at the support brackets, I think that'll prevent your fender from cracking...ever. I've got to get a picture on here of the brackets...they are every bit as thick and strong as the frame of the tractor, and a long as they are installed properly, you won't have any flex to create the crack in the first place.

I posted the step stay kit the other day after I got my 2350 back...

The battery cover has been resolved for some time now. There is a new one, if you need it, your dealer can take of that very easily. I posted some pictures of the two designs some time back.
...

Charlie -> I couldn't find your pics of the battery cover(s). Can you help me out? Mine doesn't fit very well at all...

Thanks
Jesse

LOL - Gotta wonder what the bottom line turned out to be for those plastic fenders. After doing the fix, I doubt Kubota saved weight OR money on the plastic parts.
