Hi, I'm new to this forum so please excuse me if I'm asking something that may have been covered before. Does anyone know where I can obtain plans for an earth trencher? It can be self-contained like a Ditch Witch or Little Beaver or I can also mount it to the CadTrac I'm in the process of building. The trench width needs to be at least 3" and preferably wider if possible.

Thanks,
gocars

I hav seen a few made out of converted 3 point tillers at a Grey market dealer I think the name of it was called the Roto or something. It had the same fram and gear box as a center drive grey market 3 point tiller. to get a good pattern go to an older propane gas dealer and look at the little ones they pull on the A frame tank trailers. They dont have a ground drive but they have a hook in the back and you hook a come along or the trucks winch up to it. They are super simple to make they use off the shelf sprockets and chains bearings and pulleys. The bar is tubing with a slide out section for chain tension. Im making a rotary trencher right now out of a copied sawmill edger blade. I transferred it to the pattern cutter and made a disc 3/8ths thick. Ill adwider teeth to make it cut a 4 inch trench.
