Another view of the pallet with the quick attach, ripper tooth, and auger quick attach plate on it. If you look closely at the ripper tooth, you can see the pin that holds an attachment to the quick attach.

For a size perspective, the ripper tooth is 1" thick plate.

Dave, Rob, Mutt - Thanks, guys! Unfortunately, I have a lot of catch-up to do after being gone five days, so I'm afraid the EF-5 won't even get unloaded from the trailer today and maybe not tomorrow. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif Among the things on the list today is that I'm serving as pall-bearer at the funeral of a friend who died while I was gone. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

While I'm out running some errands, though, I'm going to pick up some paint for the brackets and some bolts to hold the lights in the brackets. So, that'll be tractor-related, but not quite the same, of course.

I'm very sorry to hear about your friend. This is a very tough time of year to be going to a funeral. My condolences to the family.

I don't want to turn this thread into a downer, though. Sometimes it is better to look forward instead of backwards, and it sounds like you (and vicariously us) have much to look forward to now. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I don't think there has ever been more buildup or drama in the purchase of a new tractor in the history of TBN. And I ain't so sure you didn't plan it that way. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Harv - Thanks for the message. Funerals are always hard. I'm closer to the daughter and grandchildren of the deceased than I was to him personally. That's actually harder for me than if it were the other way around - I can deal with my own grief in my own way and time, but consoling someone else always generates feelings of extreme helplessness. There's just not much that you can do, besides just being there for them.

But enough of that, as you said. Forward, onward, and upward. Or something like that.

Hmm, planned buildup and drama? Maybe I planned a little, but if I did, the joke turned out to be on me, because I sure didn't plan to switch from PowerTrac to EarthForce, and I sure didn't plan for it to take so long for me to get my hands on the EF-5. But I did get some free goodies out of the delay (like almost $3k worth of cab & heater...), so I'm definitely not complaining. Of course, all you guys who were beginning to think I was making the whole thing up will have to re-think your position, too... /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Here's a picture of the "chain dogs", as the guys at D&E call them, that I had welded to the back side of the loader quick-attach plate. This picture shows the one on the right side of the tractor - there's one in the same spot on the left side, too. I wanted one in the middle as well, but it kept trying to snag the 4-in-1 hoses, so I had to settle for the two on the sides.
