Ah your a good man to be able to come back and give an honest review of the exhaust. You've earned my respect for what ever that's worth.:confused2:
In the mean time IF you decide to go the way I did and you need some help just pm me. Hope your enjoying your very nice tractor.
Thanks. That's what is forum is for, is to share knowledge. Good and bad. :confused2: I did also have a concern about the exhaust kicking up too much vegetation debris from brush hogging, disc mowing, hay baling etc, because I would have to stop once about 3/4 through the day to blow or wash out my radiator, a/c condenser, and hydro cooler. The turned down exhaust may still contribute, but I had a buddy have the same problem with his JD 4720 with factory exhaust. Maybe the stack would help. Or maybe they are just too low to the ground compared to larger utility and ag tractors. I know I don't have any of the same problems with my buddies JD 6300 or 7410 when I'm mowing, raking or baling hay. They will go for 20-30hrs without having to clean them out. On another note. Noticed under the 4720 hood that JD had an intercooler. I know it makes a big difference on a vehicle. Wonder why my Kubota L5740 doesn't have one. Wonder if I could make some room up front, do a little plumbing and install one. Would it be a noticeable difference or just on a dyno. Hmmmmmmmmm???
