When I go to the woods or need to fell trees I use my oldie but goodie Stihl 036 pro. But I love my small battery powered saw and battery polesaw for limbing trees around the yard.I tried a Milwaukee battery saw but it just has no place in my arsenal. I don't have time to play around with batteries needing charged etc. The 2511 almost 3 times lighter than the Milwaukee is and cuts a whole lot better. If someone is just whacking off a small limb here and there then it may work fine, but for a guy who is going to the woods to cut wood all day, electric saws need to stay home with the wife where they belong.![]()
You mean muffler I presume? To me, a 'pipe' would be a full on expansion chamber, where exhaust pulses are scavenged efficiently at rated rpm. A muffler is in reality a box that contains the spent charge and lets it exit in a controlled or uncontrolled manner. Only time I see a 'pipe' in on competition saws today. Certainly not on mass produced saws, one, they are extremely noisy (without a stinger attached) and two, they are cumbersome because of their size and they have to be custom built to each and every powerhead to take advantage of that powerhead's optimum power range.I know Jason has dyno numbers for his pipes.
I know all about tuned pipes ran many on saws too. This to me is what is called a tuned pipe. You mean muffler I presume?
