I purchased a Poulan 200 mph leaf blower 2 years back. Well that only lasted a year!:mad:doing about 4 acres. Seems there was design problems with them. The blown engine was too $$ to repair verses a new one. So I am looking at buying a better made blower.

A good local shop carry Echo blowers. The wife saw the hand blowers and then said why don't you get a backpack if it works better for blowing them into the woods. She is good to shop with for lawn equipment, always goes beyond what I need. :D So I am are looking at their PB-620 backpack blower. Max air speed is 185 mph at the pipe and CFM of 530 at the pipe also.

Echo does a 300 hr durability test to meet EPA's regs. New Poulan's only does a 50 hr test (the bare minimum) . The shop owner say's that is the big difference from the big box and other good equipment. A local good small engine shop has treated me pretty well and they a great small engine shop. I want to keep them in business.

Wondering does anyone have Echo equipment and how do you like them?

Thanks,
Dan

bought the biggest back pack that they made a few years ago, not sure of the model. Really has some power. Had to put a new carb on it early this fall, **** ethanol plugged it up.

I have used the Echo backback PB6000 for the last ten years, had the soild state ignition replaced under lifetime warrenty after three years but she is still blowin strong, I would get a new Echo in a heartbeat, have had great luck with them. I have the PB2400 hand held blower which is handy for smaller dust offs but the backback is the way to go for big cleanups.

I have an Echo CS-520 chainsaw and an Echo hedge trimmer. Both are fantastic products and are heads and shoulders above the Poulon junk. I have had zero problems with either one. I am 100% sold on Echo. They aren't cheap, but in my opinion, they are worth every penny.

Echo is a Japanese company, but most of their stuff sold here seems to be made in the USA.

I've had real good luck and service from the Echo chain saws and weedeaters.

I have an Echo weed eater and rate it as VERY GOOD!!! I don't have a clue about the blowers, but if they use the same engines, you won't be disapointed.

I bought an Echo chainsaw about 10 years ago. I gave it to my son about 5 years ago and it is still going strong.

Have both an Echo backpack blower and straight shaft trimmer. Don't recall the blower model but I've had it for about 12+ years and it gets heavy duty use each fall. No real issues with it except it seems to smoke a little more than I'd like. I think the newer ones run much cleaner due to EPA restrictions and I'd love one for that reason, except the old one won't die. Seems to have more power this year than in a long time. Switched to Stihl 2 cycle oil ironically and it seems to have smoothed out the engine after a few tank fulls.
