Echo vs Husqvarna

Some of these equipment manufactures become complacent, The ones that have been around for a long time take things for granted until another company does a little better, Echo is going to be on top if they continue in the direction they are headed IMO..

Have to question....Used the saw a lot, or the warranty a lot? lol. If it's the warranty you've used a lot, then I question how the Echo is better than the Husky 455.

I've had my 455 for going on 8 years and have only done the normal maintenance of put a new spark plug, air filter in it each spring and call it good. I've never had any issues with it starting, running, power, etc. Usually running a 24" bar on mine just due to dealing with larger Ash trees that are never ending dying & falling over on my property.

I have used the saw a lot since 2016 and wore out the bar. Only thing changed is the bar, once a spark plug and filters. Never have had to use the warranty yet.

That's what I figured you meant, but can never be sure without asking.

I have to say, been a stihl husy guy for a long time, bought a echo string trimmer, I'm impressed. I also just bought a small top handle echo and I like it..

I didn't like the top handle. Dinky little tank, many trips back to dealer for 'no start warm'...never solved so sold it back to them and bought a husky. Fine little top handle, light, easy starting and no problems.

I've read many times that Professional grade saws are much easier to repair than homeowner saws because they require less disassembly. The one repair I had to do on my Husquvarna 390XP seems to verify that.
The salesman at the local ECHO dealer told me "ALL" of their saws are Professional grade??? Can someone with one of the less expensive ECHO'S please comment on the amount of disassembly necessary for repair. For example, can the jug be removed from the top?

I started using Echo trimmers in 1986; That was my first introduction to Echo. I've been using Echo trimmers ever since. Matter of fact, I have two Echo SRM-2100 trimmers that are 21 years old and are still used to trim around the farm every weekend. I have had to replace fuel lines but that, plug and filter is all that's been replaced in both of them.

With that said, I bought a Stihl 362CM based on Stihl's reputation. Great saw, however, I wanted something lighter. I bought an Echo CS-501P which is the lightest 50cc saw on the market that I could find. For $449, you can't beat it. I also have a Stihl MS250...It is what caused me to buy the Echo. The MS250 is hard to start at times even following the 3 pull rule on start mode.

My Dad purchased the smaller Echo CS-310. It has a lot of plastic on it and I don't like the lack of a metal chain catch on the side cover. However, for a small 30.5cc saw, it rips for its size. It's no pro saw. However, for someone needing a small saw while ATV riding or around the house, it can't be beat.

I've only owned about 1/2 dozen saws, but my Echo lasted about twice as long as most of the others. The only other saw which came close was my 254 Husky.
The worst saw that I ever owned was a Jonsereds. They were generally pretty good saws but that one must have been made on the Monday after a long weekend, by somebody who had just buried his dog and got dumped by his girlfriend. .

I like my Husky and Stihl pro saws, but own a couple Echos that have been outstanding and always start reliably (unlike the other brands). When people ask, the one saw brand I recommend without hesitation is Echo.

I had the T435 and 540xp, weak saws IMO.. But I'm use to a 200T.. The echo 2511t is 5lbs and cuts great, feels like toy, pretty handy little guy.. Never a starting problem..
