Electric diverter valve problem

Does it work when de-energized?
Does that one have the manual over ride that you can push.
With the tractor shutdown with your hand on it and switching it on and off do you hear and feel the plunger moving.

Do you have the hydraulic schematic for the valve? typically the valve body has a P1-P2 on one face, then an A-B on another face and a C-D. P1-P2 are where the hoses from the control valve come in/out.

If the valve is stackable with tension rods, the ports on the opposite side are where the flow goes to normally, they can either route to the original cylinders that the control valve runs, in your application the bucket. Or, you can stack multiple valves together to run more circuits. The ports coming out the front face are the ones that typically go to the auxiliary function, in your case the grapple. When you close the button to control the valve and energize the solenoid, the flow diverts to those outlets.

Take the solenoid off, there should be an actuator which gets pulled towards the solenoid when it is energized (become a magnet), and a spring which moves the valve to the “relaxed” position when the solenoid is not on. Push the valve the direction the spring wants to make it go. The P ports will be connect to the ”normal” ports. Pull the actuator to see where the flow goes from the P ports when the solenoid is energized. it should be going through the auxiliary ports. Manually cycle it a few times to confirm. Then put the solenoid on and double check by switching it on and off.

It's working!

Not entirely sure what change I made that made it work. Didn't do much after I had redone the plumbing. Maybe air blocking somewhere that caused the diverter to not function properly?
