John Deere e110 lawn tracto
Very new here and I’m wondering if I can get some help from the wise people that I’ve been reading here I have a John Deere E110 lawnmower tractor I changed the battery from 300 to 350 cold cranking amps change the starter change the solenoid and the ignition switch when I turn it on The positive cable going to the solenoid gets extremely hot. It’ll turn over only once it’s extremely clean and I’m a little bit at my wits end. I had read somewhere by increasing the amps if the cables are not rated then they would get hot. It doesn’t make sense to me.

Generally if a cable gets extremely hot it's either a loose connection or the wire is too small. If you've not changed the wire suspect a loose connection or corrosion. As far as the cold cranking amps, the current draw is determined by the circuit resistance, in this case the starter. The CCA means more power available in colder weather. Even if you had 1000 CCA the starter would still use the same amount of current. Check for a loose positive or negative cable somewhere.

Wires are tight clean. Factory wires. Zero corrosion. Appreciate reply Maybe just changing wire will help. Ok so keeping the battery though. What you said makes sense
