Tractor
Kubota L3010
Good afternoon!
I have a Kubota L3010 tractor. The tractor will crank and run fine and the 4 way flashers work fine. However the headlights and dash instruments will not work. I have checked all the fuses and cleaned several connections. I'm stuck with the console pretty much removed. I could sure use some help from anyone with a background in tractor electrics. Thanks a million!!!

The first place I would look would be the key switch, I have heard of something similar happening when the key switch fails and does not provide power to the instrument cluster when it is in on position.
I would also check the wiring into the instrument cluster, unplug it and plug it back in.
As the last step, I might try checking from grounds to both sides of each fuse with a multimeter when it's on and running to see if one of the fuses looks good but is actually bad.

I have attached the pages detailing the testing of the key switch.

From looking at the blurry wiring diagram in the WSM, I see there is a combination switch. It looks like two switches, a turn signal switch and light switch but it is one unit. I would be suspicious of this switch or its power supplies.

Well turns out it was the ignition switch! Just installed a new one and all the lights and gauges work!!!

Now, one other question. I removed the forward/reverse lever in order to remove the gauge panel.
I certainly should have made a picture of how the lever and spring came apart. Seeing as how it has
been more than a few days since that happened, I can't seem to figure out how the spring fits back
onto the lever and then on to the stem. Any body got a picture of how this spring goes back on?
I sure do appreciate your help!!!

Yes that helped! I got it all together and it ran like a Kubota Sewing Machine!
Thanks a million!!!

Was surprised about 20 years ago to see a Kubota sewing machine. If memory is correct a rep came out for hours to set up and to show how to operate it. Not sure how many items it would monogram at the same time, something like 6 to a dozen.
