eMax 22/25 info?

At the dealer meeting, I drove that eMax arround the lot for a bit, and I loved the side by side hydro pedals. It seemed to be a nice operating tractor, but I did mentioned to the sevice rep that I thought the seat should be positioned back furthur, as there was plenty of room to do that and a couple of inches would make a big difference for a big guy like me. I hope that comment goes some where. I was impressed with it.

Here are the links direct to some of the pics of the eMax , search around my November post for pics from the NDM there are pics of several of the new models.

I bought a Max25 last spring. What do the specs look like comparing the EMax25?

I bought it because I trashed 3 MTD mowers in 10 years. So are they closer to an MTD piece of trash or will they survive the long haul?

The EMax specs out very close to the Max. The MTD isn't even remotely close to the them.

Any idea what an eMax22 HST w/ FEL and MMM goes for?

I was at a Mahindra Dealer's open house yesterday. Talked with the Mahindra Regional Representative. He said the emax's will start to be shipped to dealers next week. I can't wait to see them. The Rep said that the emax's are a little bit smaller in the frame size, and wheel base but the tires sizes will still be the same as the Max's. Go to Mahindra USA's web site and you can find the starting prices for the Emax's $10,000 + to $13,000 + for the tractor only.

I have a Max 25 which I built a cab from scratch. So I asked the question of availability of cab and the Rep said they are working with Curtis at this point for a cab that will fit the Max's and maybe the emax's. He did show me a picture of the factory cab that is available for the Max 28's. If that was available a year ago I would have purchased the Max 28 instead of the 25 that I did.

My dealer told me the eMax series is a TYM built tractor. It should be a winner.

Yeah, I saw the suggested prices, but those don't include FEL or MMM. I was hoping to find out what someone was quoted from a dealer for an eMax 22 HST w/ FEL & MMM.

Having to get a quote for anything tractor-related is something that drives me nuts, given how I'm used to being able to find this out on the internet when shopping for a car. I don't know why tractor dealers are (1) prohibited from advertising their prices online and (2) why I can't see what's in stock at the dealer without actually going to a dealer. I like to know exactly what I want, what each option costs, and what the dealer has in stock before I even step foot in a dealership. I'm learning that it's not done like this in the tractor world.

It may be a little early for dealers to make quotes on the emax's. My dealer doesn't have the sales literature and prices as of last Saturday since the tractors are now just being introduced. The website for the emax's isn't complete which lead me to believe Mahindra doesn't have their act together yet on this new series.

My dealer will have a price sheet attached to the tractor when they get them in inventory showing tractor, included equipment and options and pricing for everything just like the auto dealers do. I can call my dealer and he will quote the price over the phone as their pricing system is the same that GM used when they were making and selling Saturns. In other words "this is our rock bottom price take it or leave it".

I have been watching the Mahindra website for several years and yet to see a "Build it yourself" feature like CaseIH, Kubota and others.

Since Mahindra looks like they are getting serious in competing with the established orange, red, blue and green maybe they will ploy the same marketing techniques. Let's hope so anyway.

Dealers cannot advertise anything except MSRP online. It's a hotly debated topic for sure, and I suspect that will change some as time goes on. But most good dealers that are anywhere near local will respond quickly with an email quote. Just give them your zip code so the dealer in Vermont does not feel he is wasting his time quoting some guy in New Mexico. As to some sort of tractor locator, I see that as a future development as well.

Just keep in mind that for every one tractor sold in the USA there will be 100 cars/trucks sold. Tractor sales are about 1% of auto sales. There are certainly similarities because both are high dollar items on wheels, but the tractor world is much smaller and lags behind the auto world a bit. There is much we can and should copy, but much we shouldn't as well.

Mahindra monitors this site, so I'd continue to tell them what the customer wants.

This is the 21st century before I bought my Mahindra I did a lot of research on the web. Then I went and sat on a few. Then drove a hard deal but most of the leg work was done on the web and email. When I met the dealer the only thing left to do was fill out the paperwork and load her up. Tractor dealers better learn that people buy off the internet, they know what they want, they know roughly what they should cost and they need someone to take their money and give them what they want. To be secretive or make you call the dealer so they can determine whether your a viable customer is a 20th century mind set. So manufacturers should put their product out on the front shelf (the internet) with a price, the customer knows what he can afford. Don't worry about what the other guy does, be the leader.
