Well, winter is going to be here shortly and I thought I would make a post for recommendation for an enclosure for a 2210. I have bought the 47 snow blower, and I caught the finance minister at a weak moment and she readily agreed on the cab. Why I don't know yet, but I have a hunch she has something up her sleeve for later. Anyways, I am looking for thoughts, ideas or recommendations are welcome.

Thanks

Curtis Cab, Original Cab, Jodelle Perry (I think) all have some neat solutions for the 2210. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

JD and Guy,

Thanks for the input.... I am leaning toward a Femco or Curtis Cab. Local dealer carries the Curtis and thats the way I will probably go, so that I have service available. However, they are wanting $450 to install....seems a bit high to install. But I am putting in the 20,000 btu heater, defrost fan and lights also. Does this seem reasonable for install. Total setup and install is about 3k? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Attached, see my home made enclosure for 150$ CDN. It's only suitable to cut wind and prevent the wet jeans syndrome when you're blowing snow, but it's a lot cheaper than the 3000$+ CDN they want up here for a cab (ridiculous in my opinion). It's made of plexiglass, ABS and vinyl and it covers all the area (vinyl skirts weren't on in the picture).

Gives a new meaning to glass cockpit.

Do you also have plexiglass on the sides? Was loking to see if you had doors, I couldn't tell

Yup, plexi on the sides. I only put one door, opposite side of the SCV. Stuff is too clear to see.

Really neat!!

I'm trying to get my bro-in-law to do something, ANYTHING, for protection from the winter elements on his 2210. There he is, building up layer upon layer of snow/ice, while I'm crusing around with a full cab and heater. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif <- Him Me -> /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

JD,

The Curtis Cab was shipped from the manufacturer on Friday. The dealer is supposed to have Monday or Tuesday and will install next week. Looking forward to getting it on the tractor, I have been cold long enough. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
