Cylinders look OK in your photos. Oil them with something to resist rust (WD40) then stuff with rags until reassembly. From what I see, there are no signs of overheat damage. An inspection by a proper shop will tell if the head is warped or cracked. Check the cylinder deck with a gauge made for such inspection. Flush the cooling system. Check the radiator/cooling system as mentioned by those more familiar with these engines than I, change engine oil and oil filter after reassembly. You might consider a used oil analysis to tell if there was a serious over heat. Blackstone Labs is a good source for engine oil analysis (no affiliation).
Edit; I just saw your photo of the radiator. Looks like you have found your overheating issue. I pressure wash my radiator from the engine side to the front side to remove all the hidden debris.
The engine oil is likely badly cooked and the engine may be harboring some sludge so, before restoring to service, change it using a quality HDEO and filter recommended for your engine.
