engine seized or hydraulic lock?

Well you did not read any of my other posts I posted.I am sure there are a lot of goose chases.Sometimes it is in front of you amd you cant see it, Sorry for your goose chase. You were of no help to me! Go and be critical of somebody else who needs help.And go ride a goose!

Whoa, hold on Skippy..... I offered you lots of ideas. I was and am not now critical. Experience tends to assist in the search for the error in situations like this. Everyone has offered their experience to you to find the problem. Several, along with me, have said to stop trying to take your tractor apart and look for a simple solution to the problem. You finally found it. We are all happy for you and hope everyone reading this thread learns something. Hang around and you might too.

Episode ended, no damage to flywheel, recived a nice manual through Messick's.I needed one anyway. Thanks to all for the help everybody! .And guess what its February here and haven't recived any plowable snow yet.

I agree it may be a simple electrical problem. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery, charge the battery and while it is charging; ensure the ignition is turned off, if a diesel make sure the fuel is turned off and the transmission is in neutral with the wheels blocked. Now you can safely bar the engine over by hand. I want you to manually do it, to minimize the chance of damaging the engine. If you cannot complete two full turns of the crankshaft without locking up, you probably have a head gasket, or injector leakage problem. If you can bar it over as described, clean your battery connections at both ends. Make certain the battery is fully charged and reattach the ground cable. The engine should spin over properly. If not you will have to diagnose the electrical system.
