Engine Swap

I own a cub cadet 782 (full hydraulics). It has an original kohler 17hp I. It blew a hole in the side of the engine, so I need a temporary engine transplant. I was for time and money sake going to stuff a kohler 24hp eninge that was from a bobcat. Can that tractor handle that type of power? Plus later on I'm going to be putting an 18hp briggs and stratton vanguard engine from small engine warehouse.
