I know a person that recently moved to CA and he told me his mortgage is for 50 years. He stated that is not uncommon there. Geez, he’s in his late forties. He got a promotion with his job and moved from Nashville to CA, he commutes 7 hours a day, his wife left him and went back TN and one of his sons now wants to be a girl. His raise has evaporated due to the cost of living there. It has turned to s$@# for him there.

Wow… sounds like the makings of a country song…

Tell me !!! I told him not to take that job transfer, I told him the money they offer you will evaporate there. His wife took the daughter back to TN, but the son now wants to be a girl and demanded to stay there. It’s somewhere around LA, his work is approx. 20 miles away and takes about 7 hours each day round trip. I would rather live in a tent in the middle of a hay field than CA.

And we are fully expecting them to come to Oregon.

Oregon was a very popular destination for a longtime… have friends that relocated and others that retired there.

Several regret and the specific areas where they relocated are around Portland and Grants Pass with a few around Medford.

Friends that moved to Bend say they like it but the others mentioned not so much.

My former boss moved to Beaverton to be near grandkids and then son moved to Washington and said at his age he ain’t moving again.

My mom moved to Bend from the LA area now considering coming to the south. Brother is in Huntsville and we are way to remote for her taste. Like I said not for everyone.
