Environmentalists won't quit until we are walking and have no vehicles

I am somewhat offended by this statement, the company I work for, and quite a few other companies I am familiar with are very cognizant of the environment.
I feel this is an arrogant and close minded statement, in my humble opinion

Good points!! If all those tree huggers used manual labor rather then running their diesel equipment and cars, then the rest of us could go about our business...sort of like the "Cap and Trade policy, eh?


I don't see Bro Obama giving up his rides either...especially those non-essential vacations flying Air Force 1 all over the world...

A big problem with State mandated controls... is they grandfather in all state vehicles. Calif's buses are exempt from clean air testing.

whats good for one should be good for all.


Its like the govt health care.....for everyone EXCEPT government employees and or the politicians that enact it.

Before you feel to smug about the company you work for being a Stewart of the environment, go around and look if they have a garbage bin, a recycle bin, and an environmental hazard bin. If they only have a garbage bin where does the environmental Hazard waste go?
Even companies that have an environmental waste bin does the company check that the waste goes were it is suppose to?
I lived in Edmonton and the collection outfit put all the waste in a building and when all the buildings were full filed for bankruptcy and left with the cash.

My employer is a "good steward" with recycling bins etc. It's more of a corporate public relations promotion than a deeply held belief. We also have mandatory "community give back days" complete with required corporate logo tee shirts. Funny how the news people always show up.

So who do you trust more? The extremist and opportunist environmentalists working in cahoots with the government to push their agendas, or the free market, albeit with a few bad apples? But before you start bad mouthing businesses, remember, they can't knock down your front door and take you and your family at gunpoint.

I don't know what government agency it was, maybe the FDA, that came knocking at my neighbors door. She raises goats for their milk and they called her pretending to be someone who found an abandoned fawn and wanted to buy some raw goat's milk. She said she couldn't do that by law. They pleaded with her. She finally said she would just give them some milk. The next thing you know, she's got a bunch of armed government thugs beating on her door. They handcuffed her and her husband while they searched the place and finally released her with a warning. They are out of control.
