EPA issue ban on wood stoves

It looks like that BS has already come up here (Montreal). I guess I will be going to jail. I won't pay fines for trying to heat my house and I won't stop burning wood.

Well looking, I hope they put us in adjoining cells. Cause I'll be there too - for bare handedly breaking the arm of the EPA jerk who tries to stop me! We're about done in boys.

Next, they will be banning burning brush piles!

And it isn't just those up north that heat with wood. While I have central hear, it is electric, and I can cut and stack much of my own wood, FAR more CHEAPLY. Rarely does my central heat come on, unless the temps are below 30-35. I just prefer to keep the house warm, (68-72) with wood.

If they ban burning brush piles all East Texas will become just one big brush pile, that lightning will strike, and then the Feds will try to blame it on Texans.

And this very day I am half way into a 12 hour burn on 30lbs of brisket & pork loin. Wafting a little hickory smoke through the snow-covered forest all the live long day!

I imagine I'll soon be a scofflaw.

supposedly this doesn't affect existing units. . . but ill guarantee no matter what it affects people wont stop burning wood.

but ill tell you what, im going to buy a few extra stoves to store so i can replace mine at a later time..... im not getting a catalytic unit cause they dont allow for the burning of jack pine.

When that happens, I'll have to haul my brush piles out to add to the East Texas burn stack! I'll bring the marshmallows too, because that is going to be one heckuva bonfire!

Geez. Leave us alone! It wasn't enough to buy an 80% efficient 4-air-inlet stove (quadrafire), no - gotta have a $150, red-hot catalytic combustor, too.

Time to stock up on fire brick, stove pipe, & door seals!

Patron it is then! But I won't play with a chainsaw, once I start on that stuff! Dueling chainsaws could be fun! I'm only good for about an hour of running one though. Must be a girl thing, but that is my limit each day, before I fatigue. And I can't use an 18" chainsaw at all! :irked:
