Recommendations for a solar charger? I have equipment scattered about and cannot be running power cords all over the place. Had one hooked up to my previous truck but it seemed like it might not have a blocking diode in it because every time I turned around I found that the batteries were weak (this seemed to happen after I started using the solar charger- didn't use it very long because of this): I need to test it to see.

I have not used one personally, but BatteryMINDer makes solar chargers. I own six different models of their chargers, and have gotten great service out of all of them. Based on my experience with the quality of their other products, I would not hesitate to buy one of their solar chargers, if I had a need for one.

Go on the Northern Tool website and search "batteryminder solar" for some options. The BatteryMinder website also lists them, but NT has them cheaper (and currently free shipping if you are an NT "Advantage" member).
