Sunday morning and a ton of work to do. Wouldn't you know! My new 3720 (less than 40 hrs.) is giving me an ERR 57 message when I crank it. It says "ERR 57", then I think it reads "COA5E" or "COASE".
It starts fine, FEL and rear hitch work, but it will not budge. when I depress the forward pedal, nothing happens. parking brake is off and I know I have it apparently in gear. But it "feels" like it is in neutral. will call dealer first thing in the morning, of course....but, does anybody have any idea what this is, perhaps a quick reset that I could do, this morning, so that I could complete work needed to be done, today? thanks for any help, as always. Buckie,

Any word on the ERR 57?

I have a 3520 coming today and want to give my son a heads-up
on what to expect should this happen.

Appreciate the info. Good Luck with your 3720.

Cheers,

Lon

I haven't specifically looked up that Error Code, but I had a 4000 Series Tractor that did this last year-the Cutomer had driven over some logs and such-since you have a HST, there is a jumper wire under the Operator's Platform (usually the left side) that is used when you have an HST-it may have come dislodged or pulled out-just a thought, check all of the wiring there-might also be the Controller, but I haven't seen that part fail-here's another option-

Complaint or Symptom:
An error code 57 is displayed and the unit may loose its ability to travel until it sits for a given period.

Problem or Situation:
The display controller receives no response from eHydro drive controller.

Solution:
Start diagnostics using one of the two following steps based on if the machine does or does not move while in a failed state.

The machine will travel with the unit in a failed state:

Check the communication harness between the display and eHydro controller with the unit in a failed state. Wires 924 Yel and 925 Grn between connectors X7, X5, and X26 (X33 on European tractors). Look for loose or pushed back terminal pins at these connectors. Test the total circuit resistance of these two wire between the X26 (X33 on European tractors) and X7 connector.

The machine will not travel with the unit in a failed state:

Check the X26 (X33 on European tractors) connector wires 552B & 562 for battery voltage and test the resistance to ground on wire 050B with the unit in a failed state. Check X4 connector, terminals and wires, for any damage and for proper wire to terminal crimping. Check F11 fuse (10 amp) and terminals for blown fuses, pushed back terminal pins or for spread terminals (tongue pushed back creating wide opening).

By the way, as a Field Fix on that 4000 that we had trouble with last year, it was the crimping of the wire-we made a Jumper wire out in the Field which fixed the problem-FYI-

good evening, all. the dealer picked up my tractor monday. called me tuesday and said that the problem was a blown fuse. (good news.). here's what happened, according to them. when i got the tractor, I had the dealer install a 12V plug receptable on the right fender, near the plate for the toggle switches lie. I use a heating pad on my tractor seat and needed to plug it in. I did not want the 12V plug on the dash, because that would have meant a cord running between my seat and the dash. anyway, per the dealer, they found a piece of the heater pad plug lodged in the 12v receptable. apparently, when i pulled out the plug, part of it stuck, and remained in the receptable. the dealer says that there was a short and an arc, which caused the blown fuse. (and the HST ERR 57) So, they have replaced the blown fuse and they are re-routing the receptable wires. I should get the tractor back tomorrow. live and learn!

Buckie,

That's a great idea - 12V outlet near the seat for the "cushion"
warmer.

I'm not too proud to use others' great ideas.

Glad to hear the 3720 is okay.

Sure. glad to pass along. you would not believe how much i have learned just by reading this forum! the heating pad is a car heating pad; it has the 12V plug on it. It has a seat portion, folds in half, and also has an upper section, for behind your back. I have it loosely covered, on the seat, with an old t-shirt, so it won't slide around so much. sure does help out on long or cold days.

Buckie:

That's a great idea. I have a 3520 (no cab) and that sounds like a great way to warm the buns on a cold day. What happens if it gets wet?

hi there. I have been pretty careful with the pad and not allowed it to get wet. The actual 12V plug receptacle has a rubber cap that covers it when it is not in use. so, no problems on that score. I put an elastic sort of band thing around the pad itself, holding it better to the seat. you can order the heating pad with the 12V plug online. google auto heating pads.
