Kubota L3710 Will not Crank

   / Kubota L3710 Will not Crank #11
HST model?
Seems like you have one.
Assume you mean engine will not crank when turning the switch?
Clutch pedal must be depressed to crank the engine.
Glow plug lamp will light up when switch is turned to run, then go out a few seconds later when ready to start.
Remember servicing a deceased friends L3010-I could start on the floor just by depressing the clutch pedal.
Of course he had no HST switch issues and I could move the tractor without being in the seat.

Lots of L's have inoperative glow plug systems.
Just ask No Trespassing!
And don't forget to keep the HST pedal well greased!

Hope this helps.
Good Luck!

Straight out of the workshop manual:
This is amazing. Some people keep assuring me it's there, and others swear it's not there. I can't believe how hard it has been to find someone who really knows. It ought to be a simple problem.

If the manual says it's there, it must be there, but a schematic doesn't tell me where it is.

There is no switch under the tractor as far as I can tell. I went all over it from below. Does anyone here know the physical location of the switch?

The workshop manual is available at kubotabooks.com, consider making a small contribution. They have supplied tractor manuals for many years free of charge. I donated to them.

Yea, glow plugs are fixed. My clutch pedal doesn't need to be depressed but it must be in neutral. I start it while standing next to it most of the time. I always put it in neutral when shutting it down and release hydraulic pressure on the loader.

I have a Kubota L3710 with HST. It began refusing to crank this year.

I noticed that the tractor would start when I jiggled the F/R pedal, so I thought there had to be a sensor somewhere that prevented the tractor from starting unless the pedal was disengaged. I have since been told this model has no such sensor. I could not find one when I crawled under it, and I can't find one on diagrams.

Today I needed to pull my Dodge Ram out so a tow truck could take it in for work, and the Kubota started acting up again. I finally had to give up and pull the Kubota and truck with a JD garden tractor. I told the tow guy the Kubota would start right up as soon as he left, and sure enough, that's what it did. Irritating.

The tractor runs until I shut it off. The mystery issue does not shut the engine down. Someone suggested there could be a problem with the neutral safety switch. I don't know if that would shut a running engine down.

What is the most likely problem?

The dash lights turn on, except for the glow plug light. When the tractor actually cranks, the glow plug lights up. I think.
Seat Switch I Have a L3830 have chnged it

I own a L3830 have changed the seat switch twice. Intermittent until it was it..lol Cheap fix if this is the issue.

This tractor has never shut down when I got off the seat, so that may not be it. I really hate seat switches, though. Bypassed the one on my JD garden tractor.

There's no seat safety switch on my L3710, I don't know if later models came with one.

The PTO lever must be in the off position and the shift lever in Neutral, the clutch pedal does not need to be depressed.
