I went over to the farmer across the street to clear a drift on his gate he couldn't get with his back blade. There was a tree branch in there so I broke a shear pin on the impeller. Normally no big deal.

I drove back to my garage to replace the pin and found the impeller was jammed. It became apparent that the shear bolt had got behind the impeller flange and the back of the blower housing. After trying to figure out how to get the impeller to move forward I realized that the drive flange, which is woodruff keyed and bolted and rusted was not going to move.

Then I got an idea. I removed the chute and made a tool out of 1/8 X 5/8 bar stock and cut a V in the end. I managed to pound out that goofy bolt which was jammed in there pretty good.

This happened a few hours after the LP delivery truck backed into one of my pole barns. It was a long day.
