I ran over a branch which cranked my TPS bracket sideways. I bent it back but the tractor is still showing error 08. Can someone please tell me how to calibrate this **** thing? I've been searching for hours. From what i found i think i need to activate the on board diagnostics and turn the TPS until it is at the acceptable range, but i dont know how to do any of that. Any help, like info from the tech manual would be thoroughly appreciated!

Jason, I hesitate to give out instructions to access diagnostic mode. There are so many ways to foul things up worse than they are. For the throttle position sensor adjustment, a digital multimeter works just fine. Make sure it is digital. An analog meter will damage the controller. Disconnect the wire from the sensor. turn on the key and check which terminal is giving you 5 volts from the controller. I think it will be terminal "C". Then plug the wire back in. Probe into the back of the other two terminals(A&B I think) using a couple of straight pins. Touch meter leads to the pins with key on and throttle at slow idle. You want to see from .7 to .9 volts. Adjust as needed to get that reading. Then move throttle to wide open. you want to see voltage increase to range of 2.7 to 4.7 volts. If voltages are in that range, your code 08 should go away. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply! The wires going into the TPS are in a weatherproof harness. So i can plug all in or none in. When they're plugged in there's nowhere to probe with a multimeter... ugggg... this sucks... Thanks again

OK, i put paper clips in the back of the harness. Wire C was the power, you were right, and wire B looks to be the one controlled by the dial. BUt i've got a problem. The sensor goes from .45 to 4.5, so there's no .7 or .9.....

I sent you an email, but never mind, I see you got it going. BTW, it has been a good while since posting on the site, and as an update the 2006 3320 is still going strong. I am a bit more abusive to it than I was a few years back, but the thing can take it. The backhoe outrigger cylinders weep a good bit (I rebuilt them once back s few years ago, but it didn't help much) and I blew a hose on the hoe also, outside of that, no problems. Great tractor.

Hi everybody, Newbie here. I just got a 2011 JD 3320 and am getting the 08 code. I understand there is a way to adjust this? Can somebody please tell me where this adjustment is?

Thank you
