Don't have a brand new leader, just voted in with 89% of the votes?
That is the new leader of the Federal Liberal Party to temporarily replace Justine ( only liberal party members vote , not the country) iserutoae87w4tyoa8ew74tv5paw7894tvy.jpg.d4a148677778db35452766182e8c31ea.jpg

We are already in the works to get rid of Castros kid. An election is expected this summer due to his resignation, all due to extremely low polling numbers for him before Christmas 2024.......and great polling numbers and landslide polling numbers back then for our Conservative Leader to easily become Prime Minister.......EXCEPT that due to Trumps ridiculous economic war in 2025, and annexation threats, tarrifs etc, our Conservative Leaders polling numbers are dropping quickly due to him being accused of being to much like Trump. So despite you and your Trump not wanting to have a left wing country to deal with......Orange Man and Musk's lack of diplomacy skills could well sink our Right wing Conservative dream of a better leader up here. But on the bright side no matter what, less Teslas are being sold world wide. That's what happens when he jumps into politics where he has zero skills and alienates his customer base.
You are simply not used to an American President playing chess rather than tic-tac-toe. That the offer to annex Canada as our 51st state might be calculated to get Canadians off their fat asses in overstuffed chairs in mother’s basement which got Canada into their current situation?

Last thing we want is another Progressive Left Blue State. But we can enjoy watching you squirm at the offer.

My local body shop received my new hood, bumper parts and headlight assembly my son and I were shown when we ran by for an update since he is in town tomorrow to recruit more mechanical engineering staff candidates for hls employer in Iowa. No later than next week I should have my Tesla back on the road. A couple new FSD updates have come out that I'm looking forward to checking out.

Over the last 2 years a couple local firms are doing vinyl wraps. So before I drive the car I'm looking at getting price to wrap the front end before the rocks come again.

I see your ignorance continues especially when you call the 51st state an "offer" instead of the war mongering economic threat it has been exposed to be. As for the game he is playing, He wouldn't have a clue on how to play chess or even checkers !! ......maybe snakes and ladders considering how the markets are reacting to his ignorance about how tarrifs actually work. But slowly industry leaders and State Governments are correcting him and he backs off after the damage he did to his citizens and industries is exposed. On the bright side these threats to foreign countries like mine has caused a unity of thought and purpose never seen before. "Elbows Up Canada " has been the rally cry. And our people , industries and Governments are reacting in wise unity. I was shopping in grocery stores this week, the aisle shelves are blanketted with red maple leafs as Canadian products are highlighted and bought ( and products from Mexico or Europe push into shelves where American products are shunned by Canadians now) Even the car dealers highlight vehicles made here or in Mexico or Korea and Japan. Instead of American ones. Sadly given time I imagine Chinese ones will ship in to new dealerships they set up , but most Canadians now would chose China over anything American. We do realize that 50% of Americans don't deserve this backlash, but we didn’t start it and only pressure from citizens will correct Trumps use of missinformation on the gullible.

Is this the politics thread, or the EV thread?
Your right, fortunately all (except one post to correct eagles missinformation) reference impact on car manufacturing. Now Grumpy and Eagle and Lou , seem to have missed the EV or car topic ;) . But I will forgive their lack of decorum the koolaid might be effecting them ....smile. So seriously are Teslas being keyed in parkinglots ? Are the protests at Tesla dealers really happening ?

Yeah, I know it all gets wrapped up, esp. when the leading face of the EV industry goes into working directly for the President. Oh well.

Shame to see folks vandalizing car lots, as a protest against one man. That's obviously not helping anyone. I guess people look at the fact that Tesla doesn't use traditional independently-owned dealerships, and figure it's a victimless crime, they're only hurting the parent company. But there are a lot of people whose livelihood are tied into those dealerships, who could be hurt if Tesla finds it necessary to change the way they do business.

It does appear to this guy, who pays very little actual attention to the latest Tesla news, that Elon has grown bored with the company and has his attention elsewhere. Tesla is selling models that are what... mostly 8 - 10 years old? How did the most innovative car company in modern history get into such a stagnant slump? Elon seems to be devoting most of his attention to DOGE and SpaceX, and there are only so many hours in a week, even for him.
