It does appear to this guy, who pays very little actual attention to the latest Tesla news, that Elon has grown bored with the company and has his attention elsewhere. Tesla is selling models that are what... mostly 8 - 10 years old? How did the most innovative car company in modern history get into such a stagnant slump? Elon seems to be devoting most of his attention to DOGE and SpaceX, and there are only so many hours in a week, even for him.
As you said, you pay very little attention to the latest Tesla news. But that doesn't keep you from opening your big mouth.

My 2013 Model S looks a lot like a 2025 Model S but the difference is night and day. Performance. Range. Cost. FSD (supervised). My 2013 barely had a stupid cruise control that would happily ram the slower car ahead.

Discussed the differences with my sister between her 2016 X and 2023 S this week. She makes the 700 mile trip in the S with 2 stops of 25 minutes. The X takes 6 stops. My old S would have to stop as often, but longer.

You don't know anything about the manufacturing innovations Tesla is pioneering. Search for "giga casting". Watch "Munro Live" on YouTube as they compare the evolution of Tesla manufacturing techniques. How parts get changed for added strength, lower cost, easier manufacture. Yet the model doesn't change to the consumer.

FSD is currently running on what is called "HW4", hardware 4. Sister's 2016 X was upgraded from HW2 to HW3, the 2023 S has HW4. She notices a significant difference in FSD between the two. Said my Y's HW4 FSD is very much like her S but she likes the controls and user interface of the Y much better. Has ordered aftermarket turn signal stalks for her S.

One bone to pick is how tire pressure is easy to read on the Y, even provide a continuous display. On the S one has to go to the big settings window (where the data is also available on the Y) which completely covers the navigation map. She had maybe 2 flat tires the past 40 years and 2 more this past year. She really wants to see tire pressures now.

My 2013 had TPMS but no tire pressure display. Innovation!

Hey! How about that Apple Lack Of Innovation! OTOH who would trade an iPhone 16 for an iPhone 11? Clearly there is no innovation anymore so an 11 must be just as good as a 16, right?

What kind of innovation would make you happy? Should the falcon wing doors of the Model X flap to make the car fly?

Speaking of Space-X, I saw the latest ballistic missile test over the Bahamas, was another success 😂
Darn that lack of innovation!
Clearly they should come up with innovative ways to fail!
Success is so boring!

I see your ignorance continues especially when you call the 51st state an "offer" instead of the war mongering economic threat it has been exposed to be.
I said, "That the offer to annex Canada as our 51st state might be calculated to get Canadians off their fat asses in overstuffed chairs in mother’s basement which got Canada into their current situation?"

And then you go on a rant proving the truth of what I said:
As for the game he is playing, He wouldn't have a clue on how to play chess or even checkers !! ......maybe snakes and ladders considering how the markets are reacting to his ignorance about how tarrifs actually work. But slowly industry leaders and State Governments are correcting him and he backs off after the damage he did to his citizens and industries is exposed. On the bright side these threats to foreign countries like mine has caused a unity of thought and purpose never seen before. "Elbows Up Canada " has been the rally cry. And our people , industries and Governments are reacting in wise unity. I was shopping in grocery stores this week, the aisle shelves are blanketted with red maple leafs as Canadian products are highlighted and bought ( and products from Mexico or Europe push into shelves where American products are shunned by Canadians now) Even the car dealers highlight vehicles made here or in Mexico or Korea and Japan. Instead of American ones. Sadly given time I imagine Chinese ones will ship in to new dealerships they set up , but most Canadians now would chose China over anything American. We do realize that 50% of Americans don't deserve this backlash, but we didn’t start it and only pressure from citizens will correct Trumps use of missinformation on the gullible.
Hey, remind me of the EVs Canada is producing? A utility truck company somewhere buying and assembling parts purchased from the USA?

I wonder how well Boeing would have been able to do on the same time line? Cough.

I mean they have had well over a decade to get SLS reliable and it was built with already available tech. The only thing they have excelled at is going over budget on the lobbied for "cost plus" contracts.

The booster did just fine again. They do need to get the upper stage ship reliable, It also gets missed that it is a larger ship with many changes, but, sometimes that's what it takes to innovate.

If it weren't for SpaceX i would be stuck with Hughesnet's overpriced underdelivering sat, internet as well.

My favorite thing about you, is your ability to have a civil discussion on any topic, without unnecessary snipes and jabs. :p

After 2 years on the 2023 Tesla Model Y I have put 20,000 mi on it. Based on losing 15% of battery life in the first 200,000 mi after 10 years I would still have a lot of battery left all things being equal.

The other day Elon Musk announced that over the next 2 years that he's going to double their USA produced Tesla's as EV demand continues to grow.

From what I see and from what I read it's just a matter of time 80% of the EVS on the road will be produced in China but some Chinese companies will put in factories here just like Toyota and Nissan and many others did over the last 50 years.

They’ve successfully mastered rapid disassembly, for sure.
They have also mastered the most reliable cost effective way to space and back with Falcon and Falcon heavy already.

As of March 14, 2025, the Falcon family of rockets (including Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy) has had 456 successful launches out of 459 total launches. So who is doing a better job at a lower cost Boeing? Not.

I guess we could have kept paying Russia to haul our people and equipment to space, or maybe hired the chinese with their Long March rockets instead.

Estimates are between 30-40 Billion dollars saved to US taxpayers since SpaceX began offering paid flight versus the other to space contractors.
