Not gonna galavant all over the countryside to buy one. If one comes up locally, I'm good with that but it has to be a local (Toledo, Ohio) purchase. I would bever consider buying any vehicle or tractor however, from a not local to me dealer simply because of the impending service issues. At some point, dealer service will always be required and I want to deal with a local dealer I purchased from and in the case of a Tesla, certainly not from some used car lot that has no capability of after the sale service on a vehicle I know squat about.

Well, we know our media has never exaggerated a small number of outliers, pretending it's a sea change.

It'd be interesting to see the numbers.

I agree virtue is a big factor on both sides of the equation, but also know that very few can actually afford to put their money where their heart is, when it comes to changing vehicles on a whim. I call BS on this notion that there are masses of Tesla owners, who previously had no plans to trade in their car, suddenly lining up to dump them solely out of frustration with Musk.
I for one, am certainly not disenfranchised with Musk at all. In fact he impresses me and so does what he's doing in the government arena. Too bad we don't have progressive thinkers like him, the country as well as the world would be a better place.

Wish I could take advantage of falling prices on used Teslas but living in rural Michigan makes it a poor decision. Closest dealer is 200 miles away and no local support at all. I rarely see an EV unless on the freeway and they are likely cars from the cities downstate.

Would like to support Musk but reality is reality.

Ask around for an automotive electric shop. When a squirrel nested in my Focus and ate all the wiring under the fusebox, my insurance found a specialty shop to repair it. Turned out most of their work was EV's.

Out cruising around in my sporty sedan today, Rush’s song Red Barchetta came up in the shuffle rotation, just as I was passing a CyberTruck. Anyone who remembers the lyrics to that old tune doesn’t need the irony pointed out for them, although I guess it’s been better if I were in a tiny red convertible.

Tesla dealership in town just 10 miles from home. 6 or 8 superchargers in a 10 mile radius. You can't go anywhere without seeing 1 or 3 of them. I'm hoping to blend in... :D
I see they charged that idiot who shot up and firebombed the Vegas dealership. It's all on camera. Not very smart

Lefty looney and smart are mutually exclusive.

Every time I see "supercharger", my mind still goes to the venerable Weiand 6-71 that we all used to bolt onto our small blocks:

There should almost be a law against repurposing words.

It reminds me of Starbucks sticking the name "macchiato" on their stupid vanilla caramel latte concoction... which is nothing at all like a macchiato. (n)

Took cousin Jeff's cyber truck hunting and I was extremely impressed with it. Only access to the hunting property is an unplowed seasonal road and it went right in and out, no issue. Put 2 deer in the bed as well as the rifles and my buddy Tom rode in the back seat and said all kinds of room. It's but ugly but it's very practical, especially on unplowed seasonal roads in upper Michigan.
